Sanz Gaspar - Pavanas por la D

Hi dear all,

Please teach me "Sanz Gaspar ; Pavanas por la D con Patidas al Aire Espanol, Una Jiga Inglesa y Bailete Frances" is a very famous suite. I play the Pavana in A minor. What "por la D" means?

Hola Whooper,

I believe "por la D" means it is in the key of D. As for "Una Jiga Inglesa y Bailete Frances", I believe it means an English Jig (which is a dance), and French Dance.

If I am wrong, will someone please correct me? :D

Sanz composed many dances. Suite Espanola contains ten dances, the most famous being "Canarios".
